The seven fields

Title, description, tags, images, SEO meta, variants and category — what each one needs.

Aidvio scores and can rewrite seven fields. You choose which ones it is allowed to touch; the rest are scored but never modified.

Title

The single most important field. It should name the product, its key material or spec, and its defining attribute. "Merino Wool Crew Sweater" beats "Blue Sweater

  • NEW!!" because every word is information.

Description

Where a machine learns what the product actually is. Aidvio looks for material, construction, dimensions, use case, and care — the attributes a shopper would ask about.

Tags

Tags are for retrieval, not decoration. Aidvio scores them for coverage of the attributes a shopper might search on, and flags tags duplicated across your whole catalog, which therefore carry no signal.

Images

Aidvio does not modify your images. It writes alt text for them — a plain description of what is shown. Missing alt text is both an accessibility failure and a hole in what a machine can read.

SEO meta

Title and description meta. These are what a search engine and, increasingly, an agent see first. They score badly when they simply duplicate the product title.

Variants

Variant names must actually distinguish the variants. "Option 1 / Option 2" scores zero. "Small / Medium / Large" or "Indigo / Charcoal" scores well.

Category

The product's Shopify category. A wrong or missing category is one of the fastest ways to become unfindable, and one of the cheapest to fix.
