How quotable each page is

An answer engine does not rank your page, it quotes it. That is a different problem to solve: the question is no longer whether you are relevant to a query, it is whether a model can lift a clean, attributable sentence out of your page without having to guess at what you meant.
The GEO score folds the same forty-one checks into eight axes — content structure, crawlability, authority, structured data, semantic clarity, format, freshness and prompt alignment — and resolves those into one number out of a hundred. The axes are the useful half. A page scoring 58 tells you nothing; a page losing twenty-two points on semantic clarity tells you exactly which paragraph to rewrite.
Direct-answer blocks
Whether the page answers its own question in the first hundred words, in a shape a model can quote without rewriting it.
Claim density and specificity
Named numbers, materials, dimensions and conditions beat adjectives. Vague copy is unquotable copy.
Structure a parser can read
Semantic headings, lists, tables, FAQ blocks and product schema — the scaffolding that lets a model find the answer instead of guessing.
Machine access
robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, an llms.txt index, and whether your key content survives with JavaScript switched off.

Forty-one checks folded into eight axes and one score out of a hundred — a measure of how easy your page is for an answer engine to lift a sentence from.

GEO score, in detail
Is GEO just SEO with a new name?
No. Google ranks pages; an answer engine quotes sentences. A page can rank first and still never be quoted, because nothing on it is liftable.
What are the eight axes?
Content structure, crawlability, authority, structured data, semantic clarity, format, freshness and prompt alignment. Every check belongs to exactly one of them, which is how a score becomes a cause.
Does a high GEO score mean I get cited?
No. It means the page is liftable — a model can take a clean sentence out of it without guessing. Whether it actually does is what AI visibility measures.
